Thin, lightweight wool jumper with silk, with a popper at the neck and wide rib-knit cuffs on the sleeves. 70% organic, untreated merino wool, 30% silk. Thin, fine-knit. Wool with silk is breathable and temperature-regulating. It draws moisture and sweat away from the skin, keeps warm when it is cold and cools when it is warm. It retains its warming ability even when wet, so the baby does not become sticky or wet and then cold. The fibre structure and lanolin content of untreated wool make it air-permeable and bacteria-inhibiting, and stains are easier to wipe away. Silk also has a naturally cleansing effect. A few hours of airing is often enough. Environmentally certified (GOTS), ethically and responsibly manufactured, and contains no harmful chemicals. No need to wash before first use. The jumper can be used as a comfortable, lightweight wool top all year round, or instead of a wool bodysuit. A bodysuit prevents gaps at the tummy but becomes impractical after the nappy stage. Some also choose a jumper instead of a bodysuit under high sleep trousers. Then there are no gaps either, and a jumper makes it easier to tell when it is time to change the nappy. Underwear is the most important of all wool garments. When the garment is worn closest to the baby's sensitive skin, it is comforting to know that it does not contain any harmful chemicals.
