From the brand
Knitted wool collar for baby. 100% organic, untreated merino wool. Approx. 8 cm wide. Two buttons allow the neck opening to be adjusted. The collar also covers the shoulders, so it protects particularly well against dribble and posset. Untreated wool keeps warm and breathes especially well, as it absorbs moisture from the skin and wicks it away. It retains its warming ability even when wet, so the child does not become sticky, soggy and then cold. The fibre structure and lanolin content (wool grease) of untreated wool make it naturally antibacterial. These properties also make it easier to dry or rinse off fresh stains. Often a few hours of rest or airing is enough. The garments have the strictest environmental certification (IVN/GOTS), are ethically and responsibly manufactured and contain no chemicals that may be harmful. No need to wash before first use. A comfortable and smart collar that can also save a lot of washing and changes. Instead of changing the bodysuit or jacket, the collar can quickly be swapped out if it becomes wet or sicked on. Often it is enough to air it, but if you have a small bib, it probably needs to be rinsed under the tap regularly. Fortunately it dries quickly (squeeze out the water in a cloth or towel). Two or three should therefore be enough. A small protective collar can also be knitted yourself: you can find our free pattern here.
