What we store, and why

Reading the site

We set no tracking cookies and use no third-party analytics. We count page views and clicks to shops without identifiers (which page, which shop, when) so we know which products and guides are useful. A click to a shop goes through a short Nontoxic Nest redirect for that count; the shop then sees you as any other visitor.

Asking for the planner

When you leave your e-mail on the baby list we store:

• your e-mail address;
• the exact consent sentence you ticked, and when;
• a one-way hash of the address you connected from, kept only to stop automated abuse of the form (it cannot be turned back into your address), and your browser's user-agent string.

We use the address to give you the planner and, once we start one, an occasional newsletter about vetted products and changes to the Standard. We do not sell, rent or share the list. Nothing is sent to you until we have a sending service; today the planner links are shown on the page straight away.

How long

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. The abuse hash is of no use after a month and is cleared then. When the newsletter starts, every e-mail carries a one-click unsubscribe link; until then, write to us and we delete the row the same day.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Write to hello@nontoxicnest.eu. You may also complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish data protection authority.

The Google Sheets planner

The planner is a Google Sheet you copy into your own Google account. Your copy, and anything you type into it, lives with Google under Google's terms; we never see it.

Reports and e-mail

If you report an issue on a product page and leave an address, we keep it only to answer you and remove it once the report is handled. E-mail you send us is kept as ordinary correspondence.
